Checking out the shore of lake Superior around Gooseberry State Park, we are glad that this is not the year we are doing the hike. The cold and snow lingered far in to the spring, then the insects came out with a vengeance, ready to make up for the past few dry springs; To top it off, the rivers filled up with the outrageous rain falls of June. Nevertheless, the land is beautiful and we continue to look in to the trails, the obstacles and the options.
